The Jewish Galician and Bukovinian periodicals from 1848-1914 are a historical treasure of knowledge on the Jewish life in Galicia and Bukovina and are a testament to their cultural development. Due to their wide disperse in numerous archives and libraries all over the world they were mostly disregarded in academic research. Digitizing and providing online access of these materials to scholars and the public will enhance the interest and research on Galician and Bukovinian Jewry. Until now there was carried out the first stage of targeting and locating some 150 periodicals in Hebrew, Yiddish, German and Polish.
