The research project on Galician & Bukovinian Jewry The University of Haifa In collaboration with the Jewish Galicia & Bukovina Organization

A research workshop was held on 16.5.2017 at The National Library of Israel in Jerusalem. The event included two lectures given by two young scholars each followed by a feedback and discussion session lead by a senior scholar.

The two topics presented in this workshop where:

1.  Jewish Law in the Beit Midrash of Hasidism by Dr. Levi Cooper (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev), that chaired by Prof. David Assaf (Tel Aviv University).
2.  The Generation of 67’ – Between Lemberg and Lwów. By Dr. Maya Shabbat (The Research Project on Galician & Bukovinian Jewry, Haifa University). Chaired by Prof. Mordechai (Motti) Zalkin (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev).
